Greetings, Dragons! My name is Katie Chappell, and I am so excited to have the privilege to serve as the Director of DaVinci Flex! I first discovered this incredible program in 2018 when I was looking for a home-centered, school-supported innovative education for my 3 children. As a professional educator, I immediately fell in love with this school’s unique partnership with parents and the support, flexibility, and opportunities it provided for my family. In 2020, I was hired to teach 6th,7th, and 8th grades, and I was beyond thrilled to become a part of this dynamic team of talented teachers! This is my 5th year as a member of the Flex family, and I absolutely adore our students, parents, faculty, and staff! I have always loved school, and I am passionate about education!

I have a diversified professional resume with 20+ years of teaching experience in public, private, alternative, homeschool, and hybrid settings all across the United States. I have earned a Master of Arts in Education, a Utah Professional Teaching License, and a Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics/Teaching ESL. I am presently completing my administrative license, a lifelong goal! I wholeheartedly believe in the unique vision and mission of DaVinci Flex. I look forward to collaborating with our teachers and families to tailor each child’s education for optimal learning and future success!
