Enrollment FAQ

A lottery process is used when the number of applications exceeds available admission openings. Completed registration packets are randomly drawn and assigned a number to create the waiting list. Random drawings are held as needed to ensure all interested students have an opportunity to enroll at DaVinci Academy. The waiting list is valid for the current school year only and is re-generated each year, or as needed.

Yes, we fill spots as soon as someone drops. Spots open and are filled all school year long.

Once one child in a family is accepted the rest of the siblings get priority treatments. We cannot guarantee when all siblings will get spots as it varies from grade to grade with how much space there is. We do enroll all year long and will do our best to find spots for all family members as quickly as possible. 

Yes, we have a full IEP department. If your student is coming from another school and has an IEP or 504 it will be transferred with them. If you suspect that your child has any struggles that might make learning difficult, speak with your site manager and they will walk you through the process to see if they might qualify for services. 

For many children, Kindergarten is their very first school experience—and we want it to be both exciting and engaging. At DaVinci, we use CKLA Reading, Reading Horizons, Illustrative Math, and the Second Step Social Skills Curriculum, along with project-based learning in Science. Students also participate in daily learning centers designed to strengthen both academic skills and social-emotional growth.

Full Day Kindergarten

Our onsite Elementary program offers full day Kindergarten only. The two kindergarten classrooms have a licensed teacher as well as an aide to help support the individual needs of the students. 

Full day Kindergarten allows for stronger student/teacher relationships, more time to get academics as well as extra-curricular activities in, and more time to prepare for first grade content and schedule.

Onsite Full Day Kindergarten Schedule:

  • 8:15am-3:00pm-Monday-Thursday
  • 8:15am-12:30pm-Friday

Kindergarten students enjoy morning, lunch, and afternoon recess. School breakfast and lunch are offered daily. Students also participate in Library, Counseling, Music, and Gym specials.

Kindergarten classrooms are located at 2221 Grant Avenue.
